Complete remodelling and enlargement of an 18 th century farmhouse in the Minho using traditional materials.

This included the conversion of the basement for bedrooms and of a barn for a studio and full remodelling of the upper floor with a spacious new family kitchen.

The inherent qualities of this stone-built house were maintained and enhanced while providing modern levels of comfort and convenience through insulation and underfloor heating.

A centuries-old olive tree was successfully replanted to enlarge a terrace and provide a generous shaded outdoor eating area next to the kitchen.
